Since 2002, Annie Owen has organised many successful group tours visiting much of India. Instead of the more commercialised locations, Annie's tours will take you to much more fascinating and less visited places where you can explore in greater depth the cultures and sights that make India such an exciting and unforgettable country. You will meet the local people and find out about their lives, crafts and traditions. You will stay in a variety of hotels and guesthouses including fabulous hotels, historic homestays, and the odd palace, maybe even a tented desert resort or a river boat. Always safe and comfortable but never dull!

But is India ready for tourism again?
Having carefully organised successful tours over the last two decades by working on a personal level with local trusted agents and guides, we are in the best position to know that it is now safe to travel in India again. India’s vaccine programme has been thorough and it has adapted quickly to safer procedures.We are well advised by people we trust and our predominantly rural itineraries take us through the regions least affected by the Covid virus.

Annie revisited India in March 2022 to see for herself how the people had fared through the pandemic. It was safe and one of the most uplifting visits she has made since first arriving in India thirty years ago! India Beckons now longs to return with you, to support the hard working village communities and, by relaxing on the verandah of the odd rural palace with a beer or lime soda, also help restore the income of these proud family owners!
